An English Parliament
This speculative proposal, for a debating chamber for a newly federal English parliament, is based on an idea of architecture situated somewhere between topography, a large boat, and a fairground attraction. It could move around the country perhaps, anchored temporarily off of piers and docks, whilst The Palace of Westminster is being refurbished, potentially also residing in Parliament Square and town squares. Scotland has a parliament, Wales, Northern Ireland, even London, so why not England? Drawings and a model were exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019.
